Millimeter-Wave Antenna With Gain Improvement Utilizing Reflection FSS for 5G Networks

چکیده

A millimeter-wave (mm-wave) antenna with enhanced gain for new 5G networks is introduced in this work. rectangular slot operating at the fundamental mode of desired frequency band utilized study. The improved by employing a Frequency Selective Surface (FSS). FSS-based reflectors are designed same and added under specific distance to achieve required enhancement suitable dimension 25 × 5 mm3. increased around 5.3 dBi when antenna. FSS fabricated tested. has tested outcomes without S11 ≤ -10 dB from 26 GHz up 29.8 realized 4.5 within entire radiation efficiency 93 %. While achieved bandwidth 25.5 30.8 10.3 28 90 simulated have trend which validates suggested be operated applications. All simulation results completed using CST Microwave Studio.
